Keto Chicken Liver Pate

Chicken liver pate is great over Keto crackers, or just by itself as a side dish. It’s a simple recipe with just a few ingredients, as well.

  • 1/2 lb Chicken Livers
  • 1/2 Onion, sliced thin
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 6 TB Butter
  • 3 TB Cooking Sherry Wine
  • pinch Salt, pepper
  • 1/4 Tsp Thyme
  • 1 Bay leaf
  1. In skillet combine chicken livers, onion, garlic, bay leaf, thyme, salt. Add water and simmer. Reduce heat and simmer until livers are barely pink inside (about 3 minutes). Remove from heat and let stand covered 5 minutes.

  2. Discard bay leaf. Transfer all ingredients in skillet to a food processor (using strainer spoon). Puree. Add 2 TB butter at a time into food processor while running, then add Sherry until blended in. Add salt and pepper and process until completely smooth.

  3. Using a spatula, transfer to storage containers and refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour). Serve chilled.
