Short Ribs & Mushrooms In Red Sauce
With many beef and steak-type dishes, a good tasting sauce will enhance the flavors and turn it into a gourmet meal. This red sauce is a delicious blend of ingredients that do just that.
- Short Ribs
- 1/2 Cup Bone broth (or beef broth)
- 1/4 Cup Sherry cooking wine
- 2 TB Coconut Aminos
- 2 TB Balsamic vinegar
- 2 TB Heavy cream
- 2 TB Tomato paste
- 2 TB Ketchup (sugar free)
- 1 clove Minced garlic
- Seasonings (salt, pepper, all purpose, onion powder)
Brown short ribs in deep pan with some coconut or avocado oil (don't cook fully). Set aside
Brown mushrooms in same pan with drippings from meat.
Add sauce ingredients and stir to mix. Then add meat back into pan.
Lower heat and simmer with lid for 1 hour (stirring occasionally).
